Multi-Exposure technique
- an array of small area digital detectors is moved in a square pattern during 4 consecutive x-ray exposures (multi-exposure technique)
- A first grid (collimator) is interposed between the x-ray source and the breast to reduce the dose to the patient
- A second lead grid is placed below the breast supporting device and above the detectors’ mosaic to reduce the scattered radiation
